River Witham
The River Witham is a popular coarse fishing spot in Lincolnshire. It runs for over 65 miles and offers plenty of opportunities to catch a variety of species such as roach, bream, chub, and barbel. The river has several access points, including Bardney, Kirkstead, and Boston, among others.
One of the best places to fish on the River Witham is the stretch between Stamp End Lock and Washingborough. This area is known for its shoals of roach and bream, and you can expect to catch some decent-sized fish here. The river is also popular for its barbel fishing, and you'll find some big specimens in the deeper sections of the river.
Fossdyke Canal
The Fossdyke Canal is a man-made waterway that connects the River Trent to Lincoln. It offers a peaceful and scenic fishing experience, and you can expect to catch species such as bream, roach, perch, and pike. The canal is around 11 miles long, and there are several access points along its length.
One of the best places to fish on the Fossdyke Canal is near Saxilby. This stretch of the canal is known for its large shoals of bream, and you can expect to catch some big specimens here. You'll also find plenty of roach and perch in this area, and there's a good chance of catching pike in the deeper sections of the canal.
Tattserhall Lakes
Tattershall Lakes is a complex of lakes located in the heart of Lincolnshire. It offers excellent coarse fishing opportunities, with species such as carp, bream, roach, and tench all present in the lakes. The complex has several lakes of varying sizes, and there are plenty of fishing platforms and access points around the lakes.
One of the best lakes at Tattershall is Kingfisher Lake. This lake is stocked with carp, and there are plenty of big specimens to be caught. The lake also has a good population of bream and tench, and you can expect to catch plenty of roach throughout the year.
Westwood Lakes
Westwood Lakes is a complex of seven lakes located in Boston, Lincolnshire. It offers excellent coarse fishing opportunities, with species such as carp, bream, roach, and tench all present in the lakes. The complex has plenty of fishing platforms and access points around the lakes, and there are also several lodges and camping facilities available on-site.
One of the best lakes to fish at Westwood Lakes is Skylark Lake. This lake is stocked with carp, and there are plenty of big specimens to be caught. The lake also has a good population of bream and tench, and you can expect to catch plenty of roach throughout the year.
Decoy Lakes
Decoy Lakes is a complex of 11 lakes located near Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, which is just across the border from Lincolnshire. It offers excellent coarse fishing opportunities, with species such as carp, bream, roach, and tench all present in the lakes. The complex has plenty of fishing platforms and access points around the lakes, and there are also several lodges and camping facilities.
